Activities
At Stone Mountain Therapeutic Boarding School, students reap the benefits of being in such a beautiful mountainous setting. Research has shown that children with ADHD function better if they spend part of their day outdoors in nature. Our boys also benefit from being close to the city of Asheville where many culturally enriching activities are available. At Stone Mountain School we offer Stage Based Programming, where students have a range of activities they can participate in based on their stage in the program along with their current behaviors. This provides our students with the opportunity to take accountability for their choices and to be rewarded for hard work and progress. This also allows us to keep our students safe by offering various levels of activities to meet the social, emotional and behavioral needs of each individual student.
